Conventional dry ice production loses a large fraction of liquid CO2 as vented gas. A bolt-on recovery system captures that vent gas, re-liquefies it, and feeds it back into the dry ice press — closing the loop without changing the dry ice press itself.
Vent gas from the dry ice press is collected at low pressure instead of being released to atmosphere.
Captured gas passes through filtration and an optional dryer module to remove moisture and contaminants.
The cleaned gas is compressed and liquefied back to LCO2 at ~135 kWh or less per ton recovered.
Recovered LCO2 is fed back into the dry ice press, closing the loop and lifting overall conversion to 90-95%.
